Texas Produce Availability

According to Todd Staples, Commissioner, Texas Department of Agriculture, "Texas produce contributes about $1 billion annually to our state's economy, a valuable part of Texas' booming agricultural industry. Throughout the world, Texas produce is known for its delicious taste and excellent quality from the rich Rio Grande Valley up to the High Plains and from East Texas to the Trans-Pecos. A wide array of farm fresh fruits and vegetables nourish Texans and the Texas economy enabling our producers and state to continue to be recognized leaders in the global marketplace."

In addition to the produce from Texas, import members of the Texas International Produce Association work closely with Mexican producers to secure wholesome, high quality fruits and vegetables year-round. TIPA members handle over 50 different fruit and vegetable items throughout the year.
